2008 Laramie Area Visitor Center Photo Contest

General Rules and Regulations
The contest will run from February 4, through April 18, 2008. Entries will be judged by a local panel, and finalists in each category will be displayed at downtown businesses where citizens of Albany County will be encouraged to vote for their favorite photo. These voting results will then be used as part of the formula to select the winning entries. The winning photos will be announced at a public reception and gifts will be given away. Works will also be auctioned off at the reception May 15, 2008, to help support the Wyoming House for Historic Women.
Acceptable entries must be original photographs taken in Albany County. Entries will be judged in following six categories that represent the spirit and people of Albany County: Landscape; Sunrise & Sunset; Wildlife; Winter Activities; Summer Activities; Cowboy Culture; Black & White; and Structures in Albany County. Lake Marie and Medicine Bow Peak are in Carbon County, but very spectacular from the Albany side, so photographs taken of Lake Marie and Medicine Bow Peak from the Albany County side will be accepted.

Photo Release
By signing the 2008 Laramie Area Visitor Center Photo Contest entry form, the contestant grants the sponsors unrestricted, non-exclusive rights to use photograph(s) for any purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, publishing your photograph(s) in print or electronic form for promotional purposes, the right to use the photographers name as a credit along with the photograph, and the right to use a print of the photo at the fundraiser auction. The photographer must own all rights to any photographs entered in this contest. It is the responsibility of the contestant to ensure that publication of the photographs raises no legal claims. Accordingly, you hereby agree to compensate the sponsors fully regarding any claims arising out of the use of your photograph.
