Chelos is run out of a residential house in a small neighborhood on the West side of the train tracks in Laramie. The people are very friendly, the prices are very cheap, and you get what you pay for.
Several years ago Corona Village, a popular Mexican restaurant here in Laramie, opened another location featuring a modified menu and specializing in large burritos and fast service. The Andale Rapido branch is located at 2900 Grand Ave in the back corner of the aspen square shopping center. Andale Rapido has a clean modern look, with an inviting decor and atmosphere. They specialize in burritos with choice of meats, beans, and toppings. They also serve many other popular Mexican dishes from quesadillas to carne asada. Prices are around $7 - $9 a person. Since they specialize in burritos we decided to try them out. I ordered a burrito with grilled peppers and onions, steak, pinto beans, rice, pico de gayo, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole all piled and rolled on a very large flour tortilla. To drink instead of soda we decided to go with a more traditional Mexican flavor and ordered their homemade horchata. The portion sizes were perfect, and the food was great. All of the flavors of the overstuffed burrito blended together in harmony. The horchata, a cinnamon flavored rice milk, was superb. It rivaled the many I had while living on the Mexican border in El Paso. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and had fun. The Andale Rapido branch of Corona Village offers great burritos, and other fast Mexican food at a reasonable price in a clean, open and friendly setting. It is perfect for lunch, and worth a visit.

Murf opened the restaurant in the summer of 1987 when he purchased the Chuckwagon Cafe. He added a full kitchen and began work on adding the bar and patio area. The Murf the Surf's beach bar opened in the spring of 1989. The cabana and patio landscaping were completed that summer. We will be serving Murf's famous taco burrito smothered with homemade green chile as well as Maggie's salsa, both from days gone by. There is a full menu of great burgers, dogs, chicken fingers, soups, sandwiches, salads, nachos and more. Soft drinks and hot beverages, bottled beverages also available. Limited breakfast items. It may be cold outside, but we will warm you up with a great food and drink! Seasonal open dates, November through April. Join us for the summer at the Trading Post in Centennial. Open Friday through Sunday and beginning June 14, open 7 days a week. Murf and Linda invite you for drinks on the deck and dinner in the rustic dining room.
In 1995, Anthony Miller and partner Robert Hauser imported San Francisco’s Mission-style burrito to Colorado, opening the first Qdoba Mexican Grill in Denver. Qdoba immediately won over customers and critics with the restaurant’s Mexican flavors and fresh ingredients. Obviously, it was an idea whose time had come. Since Qdoba’s auspicious beginnings, we’ve grown to include over 480 Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants from coast to coast. And plenty more are on the way.
