Meet the Team

The Albany County Tourism Board employs six full-time employees. Our primary focuses are to obtain national and international recognition for Albany County, to showcase the area as a multi-seasonal destination having endless possibilities, and to realize full visitor potential. We work in close partnership with other local entities to work collectively towards destination development and improving the Laramie area for visitors, locals, and businesses alike.

Scott Larson Visit Laramie

Scott Larson Executive Director

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Scott moved to Wyoming in 2019 to lead the Visit Laramie team. He is a data-driven marketer with a passion for creating innovative strategies and solutions. At Visit Laramie, Scott leads a group of young, talented, and dynamic individuals with a team-first mentality who strive to use tourism as an economic driver to support small, local businesses in the community while balancing growth with sustainability. In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and their cattle dog, Ollie, pursuing outdoor adventures in the mountains. Scott also enjoys ultrarunning, skiing, camping, and traveling, making Laramie the perfect basecamp.

Sara Pic

Sara Haugen Marketing Manager

Sara is a Wyoming Black Hills native, University of Wyoming graduate, and lover of all things Laradise. On a given weekend, you will find her shopping in downtown Laramie, fly fishing in Jelm on the Big Laramie River, or hiking in the Snowy Range snapping photos with her family of four. She once spent an unintentional overnight on the mountain in November and does not recommend this idea to visitors.

Lyndee Pic

Lyndee Gurnham Design & Operations Manager

Lyndee grew up in a small town in northeastern Colorado and made her way to Laramie almost a decade ago. Her family and their two dogs love Wyoming's open spaces, so if you don't see her at the visitor center she'll be on a backcountry trail, road-trippin' in her van, or taking pictures of her dogs somewhere outside.

Willow Pic

Willow Hinckley Visitor Experience Manager

Willow is a Wyoming native who fell in love with Laramie after attending the university. Outside of work, she's a baker, a knitter, a hiker, a camper, and an overall good-time-haver. Laramie provides ample opportunities for Willow and her dog to get outside together in the Snowy Range or stay inside on those colder days to perfect a recipe for blueberry scones. Her next venture is going to graduate school, but she'll still find time to fit in the fun.

Spencer Swift Marketing Specialist

Spencer grew up in South Bend, Indiana, and spent his youth camping with his local Boy Scout troop, which inspired his love for hiking, camping, and outdoor skills. His first introduction to Wyoming was on a family road trip and he was amazed by the mountain views. He decided to attend the University of Wyoming for the affordable tuition, small-town feel, and abundant outdoor recreation opportunities surrounding Laramie. In his free time, he enjoys photography, thrifting, and gaming.

Emma

Emma Dixon Events Coordinator

Emma is a proud flatlander originally from Lawrence, KS (rock chalk!) who graduated from the University of Wyoming. Besides always being in search of a good book, she can be found exploring Laradise, kayaking, and trying to decide which shop in town has the best mocha. She once caused an accidental false cryptid sighting - it's a long story.
