Snow Biking

Fat tire biking is new to the cycling world, but that doesn't make it any less exciting! The biking scene in Laramie is big, and around here we cycle year-round. Once the winter months hit, snow biking ekes its way in and you can find plenty of locals hitting the trails and even the city by snow bike.

Snow biking is a relatively new sport offering a more stable way for riders to navigate terrain including snow, along with loose gravel. It is a great way to experience brisk mountain air, the crunch of packed snow, and the thrill of the trails with friends.

In Happy Jack Recreation Area east of Laramie, there are miles of non-motorized single track trails open to snow biking. You can also find great rides in the Snowy Range at Corner Mountain, Green Rock Trailhead, and Chimney Park.

We recommend talking to the Pedal House here in Laramie for trails updates and recommendations based on your skill level, as well as rentals. Check out our blog on 5 Tips for your First Time Snow Biking.
