Dive into our rich western history, travel back in time at the Wyoming Territorial Prison, or check out the dinosaur fossils at the Geology Museum on the UW campus.
COVID-19 Status Update
Laramie Museums may be subject to closures and adjusted hours due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As of now, the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site, University of Wyoming Geological Museum, University of Wyoming Art Museum, University of Wyoming Anthropology Museum, and Historic Train Depot Museum are open to the public for regular tours. All monuments and landmarks are also open. Please check ahead for updated hours of operation.
The Laramie Plains Museum at the Historic Ivinson Mansion is planning to open for guided tours starting on May 1st, 2021, however, the Carriage House gift shop and grounds of the Ivinson Mansion are currently open. The Wyoming Women’s History House has yet to announce its hours, but call ahead and you may be able to schedule a private showing.
