Laramie-area tourism is set to continue growth under new leadership
LARAMIE, WY. - The Albany County Tourism Board welcomes Andi Jaspersen as the new Executive Director for Visit Laramie, the tourism entity representing Albany County.
Jaspersen came to Visit Laramie after serving several years on Visit Cheyenne’s marketing team and also worked as the public relations and content director for multiple tourism marketing agencies. She holds a Certified Destination Management Executive accreditation from Destinations International. Jaspersen replaces Scott Larson, who moved to Oregon in July.
“Andi’s background in thoughtful growth through tourism, marketing, and events made her the ideal choice to lead Albany County’s travel-related initiatives,” says Sarah Brown-Mathews, ACTB board chair. “We invite all our community partners to join us in welcoming Andi as our new executive director.”
Jaspersen echoes the board’s enthusiasm. “The Visit Laramie team is ambitious, with a vision that combines creativity with a measure of fun. I’m eager to lead this group into the next chapter.”
Visit Laramie will host an open house to welcome Jaspersen and give local partners an opportunity to meet her. The event will be held Thursday, October 3rd from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Laramie Area Visitor Center on 800 S. 3rd Street.
