With summer quickly approaching, it's time to start making plans to attend Laramie’s annual celebration Laramie Jubilee Days. Every July, Laramie comes alive with parades, a rodeo, and many other events. The 2024 Laramie Jubilee Days will be held from July 6th through the 14th. There are so many reasons not to miss this fun, western celebration—from great music to fun events—and this year is no different. Here are the Top 5 reasons to attend Laramie Jubilee Days.

#5: Amazing Food

What would any celebration be without yummy food? Laramie has tons of fantastic restaurants in the downtown area—near the Jubilee Days carnival festivities.

Downtown restaurants and eateries have something to suit every palate—from wings and burgers to steak or sushi, and even dessert. In fact, it's hard to find a restaurant in Laramie that isn’t amazing, but here are some local favorites in the downtown area: The Library Sports Grille & Bar, Altitude Chophouse & Brewery, Born in a Barn, Mizu Sushi, Sugar Mouse Cupcake House and Tea Shoppe, and Big Dipper Ice Cream Shop.

Additionally, Jubilee Days boasts several food-related events: the Albany County Cattlewomen’s BBQ, a chili cook-off, a pancake breakfast, and a jalapeno eating contest. Not to mention all your favorite carnival fare. So much yummy food!

#4: Brew Fest

For those who appreciate an ice-cold brew to beat the summer heat, Laramie’s annual Brewfest is a “can’t miss” event. Choose between general and VIP tickets for access to tasty beers from a variety of Wyoming and Colorado breweries. Brew Fest is an outdoor celebration of the best brews around. The 2024 Laramie Brew Fest will be held on July 13th. See Laramie Mainstreet for more information, and get your tickets early!

#3: Fun for the Whole Family

Laramie Jubilee Days has something for everyone in the family to enjoy—whether young children or simply young at heart. The Jubilee Days Parade is a popular event for littles. The parade features rodeo royalty, marching bands, horses, and more. Bring a chair and a bag (for the candy) and set up along the parade route. The 2024 Jubilee Days parade will be on Saturday, July 13th.

The Jubilee Days Carnival is another great way to spend the day for kids of all ages. The 2024 Carnival will run from July 10th through the 13th. Tickets for the rides can be purchased at the carnival or armbands can be purchased ahead of time for a discounted rate.

Also not to be missed, are the July 4th festivities. Freedom Has A Birthday is Laramie's annual Independence Day party at Washington Park. This event features inflatable games, bounce houses, food, and more. Of course, what would the fourth be without fireworks? The Fire in the Sky fireworks display is held after dark. There are many great places to watch the fireworks, however, Washington Park, LaPrele Park, Kiowa Park, Fraternity/ Sorority Park (on the UW campus), or Jacoby Golf Course are our recommendations.

#2: Music and Culture

Laramie Jubilee Days hosts a variety of musicians and bands in the downtown area. Come stop by to listen or join in the street dance. Laramie Jubilee Days always has a terrific line-up of bands and musicians.

In nearby Centennial, Wyoming, don’t miss the Centennial Valley Art Show and Sale. This art show will feature over 20 local artists specializing in a variety of mediums from photography and watercolor to pottery and stained glass.

Art Fest on the Lawn at the Laramie Plains Museum is a chance to shop a variety of art and fine hand-crafted goods from local and regional artists. The 2024 Art Fest will be held Sunday, July 14 between 10 AM and 3 PM. There are also tours of the amazing Ivinson Mansion happening at the same time.
